The Stunning Results
After a massive six month study with over 11,000 people in over 100 countries, all of whom were given the SensaSlim™ formulation, the results are in.
They were given no special instructions about foods to eat or avoid and they were told not to change their exercise habits.
In order to gather as much scientific data as possible the participants also completed demographic questionnaires that documented age, race, religion, and so forth. Each was asked to take a psychological test as well as to complete two common standardized tests for depression (the Beck Depression Inventory and Zung Depression Scales). Each participant was also weighed at the beginning of the study and once a month for the six months of the trial and a further six months after the completion of the trials.
The participants represented many walks of life, as well as a variety of religions and ethnic backgrounds, and reported a wide range of life circumstances.
The average age of the participant was forty-four and most (about 74 percent) were women.
It’s important to note that unlike many other trials conducted on obesity, the majority of the study subjects did not need to lose significant amounts of weight. However, the typical volunteer was a woman about five feet seven inches tall (169 cm), weighing 161 pounds, (73 kilos) and whose ideal weight was 133 pounds (61 kilos). She exercised about ten to fifteen minutes a day, used alcohol moderately, and didn’t smoke or use illegal substances.
Many of the typical patients had gained and lost hundreds of pounds during their adult lives. It’s fair to say that many were skeptical and, frankly, even angry about going through still one more attempt in their ongoing battle with obesity.
But their willingness – skepticism notwithstanding – to try this at-the-time completely unknown method of appetite and weight control is a testimony to the deep desire many overweight people have to lead happier, healthier lives.
It seemed significant that so many of the study subjects were divorced, separated, or had never been married – only 30 percent were married and still living with their spouse. Although we don’t like to talk openly about this in our society, obesity can contribute to many of life’s problems. Some of the single subjects who had greater amounts of weight to lose had withdrawn from seeking a life partner. They saw themselves in a painful cycle of gaining, losing, gaining, followed by increased isolation and emotional pain.
While the divorced and separated study subjects did not automatically link their weight problems to marital difficulties, they too saw themselves in a vicious circle. Sometimes they said that the stress of marital problems had contributed to their sense of despair over their obesity.
Indeed, the emotional toll of obesity in our thinness-worshiping society is profound.
Extraordinary Results Creates Excitement
The world’s largest study reported excellent news all around. The results confirmed that SensaSlim™ is unquestionably the most effective weight loss product available in the world today.
Some people lost more than 100 pounds (45 kilos) in the six-month study. In fact, the number one side effect was excess weight loss! Some people lost so much weight that the researchers had to drop them from the study – they actually became underweight.
The average weight loss of the participants was 2.5 kilos a month, and 15 kilos over the trial. The findings will be reported world wide with the launch of SensaSlim™ to the general public.
The year-long trial (six month of using the spray and then six month follow up of weight monitoring) found that the average patient lost 16.9 percent of their body weight, compared with 3.8 percent for patients taking a placebo -- a difference of 13.1 percentage points.
The results are outstanding and well within a U.S. Food and Drug Administration guideline calling for a 5 percentage point improvement in weight loss between the test drug and a placebo.
87.2 percent of subjects lost 10 percent or more of their weight.
The Future Is SensaSlim
As researchers said, had they known decades ago about the relationship among the sense of taste, and weight and appetite control, we might have avoided the epidemic of obesity that currently afflicts so many of us.
However, with the introduction of SensaSlim™ we now have the ability to change the shape of the world. |
